The 100th Blog Post

The 100th Blog Post

The 100th Blog Post! It seems unreal to be writing these words, but this is our 100th blog on the website.  I can’t thank you all enough for making this possible!

When we started Tent Making Christianity late last year, I could never have imagined the positive response we would receive.  My initial plan was to release 2 blog posts and 1 podcast per week.  That plan changed almost immediately due to the positive response and requests for more content we received.

What We’ve Been Up To

We are currently producing 6 original pieces of content a week.  3 blog posts, 2 podcasts and 1 quick challenge question answer.  I am extremely proud of our team for being able to maintain our output through some challenging weeks and months.  There were weeks when we didn’t know how we would produce content.  But God has somehow gotten us through!

Here are just a few of our key accomplishments from the first few months of Tent Making Christianity:

  • 100 original blog posts by David and Myself.
  • 39 full length podcasts
  • 26 Quick Challenge Question Podcasts
  • 35 Written Responses to common challenges against Christianity
  • We’ve had 23,000 views on our website
  • Our blog has been read in 117 different countries

Starting A Tab

When Tent Making Christianity was starting, I put together a spreadsheet to keep track of all of our posts and links to articles.  I have separate tabs for each category.  Blog posts, podcasts and quick challenge questions all have their own tabs.

The 100th Blog Post

On a whim, I created a tab for “outside links”.  This tab would be used if any of our articles happened to get picked up by an outside site. I never really expected this tab to get used.  Much to my surprise, it now has 14 different links to outside sites that have published our articles or podcasts!

What’s Next?

So what’s in store for the future of Tent Making Christianity?  We of course are dedicated to maintaining our current output of content. I truly appreciate all of our readers and listeners.

We are planning to update our website early in 2020.  We will be adding more security features, and a new updated layout and design.  This promises to create a much better reader experience for our tribe!

The 100th Blog Post

Also, look for our new YouTube channel to launch later in the year with original videos.  This will be and exciting new addition to our content line up!  We are looking forward to producing content for this new medium.

Keeping with our original intentions, we as always will be making all of this content available to you without charge or asking for any donations.  We cover all of the costs to produce and broadcast this material ourselves. This is our way of giving back and showing our gratitude to all the people that have selflessly poured themselves into our spiritual development.

A Final Thank You!

Of course, none of this would have been possible without our Lord and Savior.  His guiding has carried us though this journey.  On days when I was so exhausted, I couldn’t even think of trying to write or record a podcast, He somehow gave me the strength to carry on. To Him be the glory!

Thank you all again for your continued support!  No one wants to create content that no one reads or listens to.  I am happy to say that this has not been a problem for us here. Your readership continues to drive us to produce new and better articles and podcasts.  Thank you again.  Tomorrow, we start the journey to blog post 200.  I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us next!
