This week’s Quick Challenge Question is:
“Religion has been the cause of more wars than anything else in history. We need to do away with religion to stop all the wars that follow from it.”

The 20th century was the bloodiest century in human history and the great majority of those deaths came at the hands of atheistic regimes…
When leaders need to charge people to fight till death, they need to motivate/hypnotize them with the idea worth to die for. The only overarching ideas available for thousands of years were “for our common independents/survival”, or “for the God”, or “for your God on Earth” (meaning your pharaoh, king, tzar, General Secretary, etc.). That includes all religions, including dogmatic ideologies like “communism”. Why would leaders wanted a war – that is a completely different discussion, but major reasons are having more land, more power, feeding a huge ego.
