Drew is the founder of Tent Making Christianity, an outreach ministry directed at helping average everyday Christians to better understand and defend their Christian convictions. Drew was an apathetic atheist that came to trust in Christ through an Alpha course at his local Church. Since then he has developed a passion for sharing evidence for the truth of the Christian world view, especially with young people. He earned a Certificate in Christian Apologetics from Biola University in 2018. His work has been featured on The Poached Egg Apologetics website. He lives in California with his wife and daughter. He has one grown son, and a beautiful daughter-in-law. When not teaching, writing articles or producing video’s, he can be found at Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure studiously avoiding the Jellyfish ride, because it terrifies him.
David is an assistant writer with Tent Making Christianity. Raised by devout parents, he has been a Christian for as long as he can remember. He developed a passion for apologetics and theology in his early teenage years after reading Tactics by Greg Koukl. Around that same time, he began competing in Speech and Debate through Stoa, giving him many opportunities to learn skills in argumentation, critical thinking, and public speaking. He received an associates degree in communication studies in December 2017, and plans to return to school in Fall 2019 for his B.A. He is first and foremost a student, trying to learn as much as he can about how to defend Christianity. After almost ten years of reading books, listening to podcasts, and attending conferences like the ReThink Apologetics Student Conference, he feels he has learned enough to be able to pass some of it on to others.
David lives in Southern California. In his spare time, he can usually be found watching movies, playing video games, and enjoying all sorts of media and stories. Don’t be surprised if he tries to work Star Trek into every conversation!
